While there are times that hiding something on the internet might be the best option for everyone, it is certainly not the case in at least 98% of the time. The internet censorship that we are going to cover today can be seen in various forms today and some of them are impacting people all over the world.
The ways that can be seen most often and are used in today’s world in internet censorship is over limiting access to the various newspapers, magazines, films and series, radios, books, etc. ‘They‘ are limiting the ability of people to read something, watch something or even participate in the discussion about some theme, event or a person, or political events. But how can they do all that without you knowing and just who they are?
The big question is how can ‘they’ do it? Well there are various ways, depending on who is blocking/limiting your internet. For example, in the libraries (at least the better ones), you should not be able to get to any website with pornographic content. On the other hand, if your country is blocking the internet connection, you might not be able to find any news you are searching for about the current president, the elections or something else, of national interest – to not be revealed.
One of the ways to block the connection would be by various blacklists. This is a simple method that can be manually or automatically updated with new websites, or their specific pages and become hidden from the people that would get them as the answer to their query.
The other method is filtration. This is certainly a much better way to block something from the internet as it would not allow people to see information that they want to stay hidden, but in the same time it is also very resources consuming method. This means more money needs to sustain that level of internet censorship and most probably you are the one that is paying for it.
So what can you do? Well the best way is to protect your privacy by not allowing everyone to see your true location. This will also increase your security and help you to access all of the websites and contents that are usually blocked and this answer is the VPN connection.
If you are not familiar with what is a VPN connection you can read that on our “What is VPN” page.
How can you know if you are being blocked or if you are limited in what you can see and access? That is easy with our tools that we will be adding to our blog. The first one is “Is it Blocked?” - It allows you to check if a website is being blocked by your country or ISP or if it is just “Not Found”, which can happen, but only if there are some problems with that specific website.
So you go and check and see that it is blocked → simple → Just come to our main website and we can help you to get the IP that is fresh and dedicated and will allow you to get to any website that you would like to go to.
